SAN FRANCISCO A federal judge told two San Francisco Chronicle reporters they must comply with a subpoena and tell a grand jury who leaked them secret testimony of Barry Bonds and other elite athletes ensnared in the government's steroid probe.
The decision by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White means reporters Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada must appear before a grand jury investigating the leak unless a higher court blocks the ruling. The pair have said they would not testify and would go to jail rather than reveal their source or sources.

Well...here is my conspiracy theory on all this. If you have been following the Libby case, you will recall a few months ago, some blogger on Truthout (Leopold I think) claimed there was a secret indictment of Karl Rove. The "case" was filed as "Secret versus Secret" in the court. It is my contention that that was in deed an indictment, but it was an indictment of Rockerfeller; Leopold got word that it was an indictment against someone whose name began with an R, and he jumped to the conclusion it was Rove; my guess is it was Rockerfeller. So there! :-)

My son just came into my office and asked "what are laughing at daddy?" If it wasn't so funny it would be very very scary for our children's future.

I am not shocked anymore at anything the Democrats do, or who they support....when you see Cynthia McKinney, Maxine Waters ("I be of sound mind"), and the rest of the looneys they keep sending back to Washington, you KNOW they have no clue......

I think we all need to thank Pinch, Bill Keller, Judy Miller and the NYT in general for having forced a situation where prosecutors now realize that reporters are now subject to examination, just like everyone else. Bless them all for this is their true legacy!

Inspector, you may have found the clue to the case. That is very possible. Isn't it very strange that Rockefeller has been very quiet since BEFORE General Hayden's confirmation to head the CIA? The back surgery story is a ruse. There is a theory that Rocky is trying to avoid or prolong his appearnace before a grand jury or avoid a polygraph himself by his back operation story.
I will tell you what I think is a possibility......I think Rocky may attempt a deal with the DOJ and the administration to "retire" and step down from the senate IF HE KNOWS HE WILL BE INDICTED OR ALREADY HAS. I of course, do not think the DOJ and administration will take his offer, knowing what has happened to Libby and he is looking at 20 plus years in prison for trying to respond to a hatched plan by rogue CIA, donk politicians and their willing MSM friends.

Either am I. I just keep applauding when they do these stupid things because the majority of Americans do not agree with them. The donks think we are all ignorant and they can manipulate us. If they did not have a liberal media to carry their words and it was truly non-partisan and reported only the facts, the donks would forvever be a minority party in this country.

I am watching airhead Kucinich present the "Kucinich four point plan" for the war on terror (on O'Reilly):
I saw that too...it is worth catching on the replay, if only as a shining example of why liberalism is truly a mental disorder. Kucinich has no grasp of reality, being blissfully lost in a syrupy morass of tie-dyes, bong hits and John Lennon songs.
Kucinich's "plan" to "win" the War on Terror would make any reasonably well-adjusted adult shake his head in disbelief. But you just know the Kos loons are eating it all up and will hopefully force the Democratic candidates to do the same by election time...so they can lose resoundingly!
