Has this guy ever heard the word "caliphate?"

It isn't a conspiracy if it's right out in the open. They state they want to overthrow Western Civilization. That's not a conspiracy, it's a declaration of war!

unlikely to begin to defeat this until we see it for what it is: something infinitely more complex, diffuse and nuanced than the US president wishes to suppose.

Isn't that just precious? If only that simpleton Bush could understand complexity, diffusion, and nuance like this oh-so-smart intellectual can, how much better off we'd all be.

The simple truth that millions of Muslims want him dead, and they are all motivated by the same savage doctrine, just can’t be accepted. Nuance must be applied until the obvious is successfully suppressed in his little mind. There are good Muslim homicidal lunatics and bad Muslim homicidal lunatics. Only complex, diffuse guys like him can tell the difference.

This guy is an idiot. I am loathe to believe virtually all conspiracy theories, but i DO believe there is a worldwide Islamic Fascist plan to destroy Western Civilization and all "infidels".

President Bush did nothing but step back from political shop talk and spoke the truth in the open but this still ticks off the so-called "moderate" Muslims.

This guy knows little of Islam if he thinks the purpose of the Mahdi is to conduct jihad against infidels.

The Mahdi straightens out Islam to make way for Jesus' second coming. He's supposed to arrive with Mohammad.

There is a student group in Iran that believes "W" is, in fact, the Mahdi ~ but this writer seems to be totally unaware of that.

Max will look good in a burqa.

When I really want to get my wife fired up, I tell her how nice she'll look in that new burkha once The Alleged Religion of Peace takes over the country...

Obviously, Max has never read the stuff I have:

Islam, a Religion of Peace®? ( links, blogs, quips, quotes, aggravating pictures ) is located here- click the Picture, and scroll backwards:

The British satirical magazine Private Eye used to call him Max 'Hitler' Hastings.

I'm not sure why, but he is a flake.

I don't want to believe it, but there is a possibility we are not made of the same stuff as the WWII generation.

They were willing to sacrifice. They were willing to do without, buckle under, and face incredible odds.

They didn't care if someone said something mean to them, or called them a racist because they didn't like Japanese or Germans.

They were willing to take harsh measures against largely-innocent people JUST IN CASE they might commit domestic acts of terror (e.g., Japanese internment).

These were a sterner, more durable, more willing people -- and because of it, they won.

I do not suspect that in this World War, America will win.
