They didn't try to mix a pre-critical mass of nuclear material by eye in stainless steel buckets again, did they? A few idiots at a Japanese nuclear facility did that a few years ago and, if I remeber correctly, got hit with a fatal dose of radiation.

We went up into Tokyo Tower when we were there last summer. It really is a hoot, seeing that thing rising up from all the other buildings surrounding it. There was a really cool looking building right down the hill from the Tower, but I never found out what it was.

The view from the top of the Tower is awesome. It was kinda hazy the day were were there, but you could still see Odaiba Island, and somewhat out into the Bay. While we were up there, I finally saw graveyards. I didn't realize that they were on the street, just behind walls. After seeing them from up there, my friend, Gina, and I were walking around Kichi Joji, and we went into one. Very quiet and peaceful, even in the midst of a busy neighborhood. Lots of cats, too, wandering around.

Pass the Kirin ! ;)

One night, when we were there, Gina's husband came in from work carrying a little 2 ltr. Kirin keg! It was just so cute, I brought it home with me, empty, of course!

Yeah, it sounds like they got power restored pretty quickly. Was she taking the train from where she was, to Narita? That would be a long trip. We caught an airport shuttle van from our friends' house, and it was over an hour and a half drive to the airport.

Let me guess, they hired some out of work nuclear techs from Chernobyl?
