I remember the Iranian Hostage Crisis and how it seemed to go on and on forever and all the press did was make excuses for Pres. Jimmy Carter since he couldn't get them back. So much for negotiating with terrorists! It doesn't work!
It's a good thing that story is being told now. The truth does have a way of coming out. I hope the author gets rich, rich, rich on the book royalties, since he didn't get justice in court.

[Carter] was/is a micromanager....
I wish I could remember the name of the guy, but I saw a television interview of someone from the Carter
administration fiasco who illustrated Carter's disconnect and inability to delegate (i.e., micromanage compulsion) by telling about the time Carter left a meeting to go to the White House basement to oversee the guy there fixing the furnace.
Canteen ping! (Be sure to see Race Bannon's post about
his siteearlier in the thread.

Nah, Reagan was destined to be a shoo-in because people realized Carter was an idiot mere months after Goober's election. The "Crisis" just enhanced the effect.

Add me too? Thanks much. You're there.

reckon the problem is that in every instance, no decisive conclusion was achieved. In part, because few admit to anything beyond "conflict". War is the "W" word.
Germany and Japan were decisively concluded.
