Mackinac Bridge; Alleged Target Of Terror

(TV5) -- We are following breaking news today after it was revealed that the goal of an alleged terror plot, uncovered in Mid-Michigan, was apparently to hit the Mackinac Bridge.
The suspects are 21 year old Adham Abdelhamid Othman, 18 year old Maruan Awad Muhareb, and 23 year old Louai Abdelhamied Othman; all are apparently from Texas.
All have been charged with one count each of collecting and providing material support for terrorism; and one count of surveillance of a vulnerable target (that target allegedly being the Mackinac Bridge).
Tuscola County Prosecutor Mark Reene couldn't go into specific detail about what exactly was found relating to the target.
What we do know is the van driven by the men contained about one-thousand TracFones. These cell phones are used by terrorists because they are cheap and virtually untraceable.
The phones can be used to remotely detonate explosive devices, or event to make methamphetamine. The charges against these men are 20 year felonies. We have also learned the men will face no federal charges.

Well, what a target! If they dropped that bridge, they'd cut the Upper Peninsula from the Lower Peninsula in Michigan. Hmm...
While that's fairly important to folks living on the U.P., that affects a pretty small number of people, really.
These terrorists seem to not be able to figure out what targets might really matter, I guess. Yes, I-75 also continues into Canada, but there are lots of other routes into Canada, even if they're a bit out of the way.
What worries me is that the terrorists are targeting such a minimally important target. It makes me wonder what else is being targeted at the same time.
Aside from a Memorial day attack, an attack on the bridge would bring a relatively low death toll. On the other hand, severely damaging the bridge or bringing a segment of it down would disrupt millions of tons of freight that cross it every year.
Why is everything that is against the U.S. and allies "ALLEGED" ?
Whereas any and all accusations, no matter how absurd and unbelieveable are printed and commented as absolute fact?

There is no bridge to Mackinac Island (with the exception of the winter "ice bridge").

A previous post had mentioned a "bridge day" coming up, the bridge would be opened to thousands walking across it.

THE MSM WILL NOT COVER THIS STORY. WHY? What are they afraid of? This is part of the liberal coverup, if they don't report it, it must not be news.
I saw on another thread that there is an annual labor day walk across the bridge with 50,000+ participants. I don't know that this was the date these scumbags had in mind, but it would certainly affect a lot of people if it was.
Or they could've been planning to simply open gaps in the center two lanes.
For those who've never driven across the Mac, the center two lanes (once you're off the causeway) are steel grate. (Scares the crap out of some people).

There's a Labor Day bridge walk, that draws tens of thousands, or so I've read on other threads.
Thanks for the tip, I think Labor Day is when the Governor (Ms.Granholm) and a thousand or more people 'walk across the bridge" in a time honored tradition.
