It just seemed, to me, that Gregory was not listening to the answer at all, but was already thinking and reading ahead to the next question.
Chertoff did say that the terrorists were trying to use people who could pass 'profiling' (he did not use that term).
I have had several lib customers try to run that exact line by me. I reminded them that two years ago, it was widely reported that Al-Queda was recruiting all over Europe for fighters to go to Iraq, and what would they have been recruited for if not Iraq?
Iraq is the perfect environment to kill as many of those radicals as possible, in the most efficient manner. In fact, because we have killed so many including Zarqawi, it looks as if Al-Queda has nearly given up in Iraq. The violence has devolved into Iraqis struggling for power.
I fail to see the significance of this angle. So friggn' what?! Are they implying we pull Tony Blair's strings?
Maybe I was too busy getting mad at nutjob Neil Gabler.
H&C had them on Friday night. Alan said they even made him support the President.
Don't forget that when our military involvement first started in the ME, it was the Dems. who kept saying that we "..needed boots on the ground."
So many facts from our recent history are overlooked by the anti-American propagandists.
You can tell the London bombing story is favoring the Bush administration in the WOT.
Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer is going to report on the "spiraling disaster in Iraq." I'm paraphrasing here.
The import of NBC reporting the US is responsible for the timing of the move on the British terrorists is so the left can claim the event was staged to advantageously impact Bush. The left nuts are all over C-Span and the internet claiming just that. Like Bush being responsible for 9-11, the far left is already saying the same about the timing of this latest threat. The nuts will eat up an NBC report like this.
That story would have blown every other thing off the front page if it had involved anyone with a R after their name.
This is a trademark of the empty suit interviewer, the rule not the exception. A good interview includes substantive back-and- forth. This requires intelligence and subject matter knowledge on the part of the interviewer. Gregory and most of the others have neither--they are chosen based on their ability to read teleprompters and/or notes.
I enjoy reading transcripts of interviews by Hugh Hewitt, which are in a different league from most.
CNN is hammering this home also. Just saw it on the headline update just before Wolfie came on.
Chris Matthews and HOward Fineman are on their favorite rant: that the war in Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism. Matthews' new career is to preach Bush lies about the connection.
WHEN ARE THESE GUYS JUST GOING TO GO AWAY?
I'm puttering around the kitchen here so I'm just hearing sound bytes. I heard one comment about Arabs having no "hope". Sheesh....hey, let me gather my wits cause I feel a big rant building up.
Let me leave it roil around in my head with these 9-11 commission do-nothings. Then lay back and pretend you are all a beautiful woman and I shall make love to you with a rant to end all rants.
I shall begin by mentioning one little tidbit....WE HAVE NOT BEEN ATTACKED SINCE 9-11 so go to hell you Clinton flackies trying to be all important when you are just nothings. Just nothing has-beens who published lies and now you are out and about INSISTING that your suggestions be adapted to further expand your non-importance.
Go with me here, WE HAVE NOT BEEN ATTACKED, so why the hell should we change course from what we've been doing?
Hey, I'm just getting started. It's either yell at the TV or write my rant on this forum.
And I've got so much work to do.
Ceasefire in trouble!
I do my best to remind them.
My most recent rant:

Good! A one-sided ceasefire would not be good for Israel.
I agree with previous posters here that David Gregory was a pretty good host, much better than Dim Russert. Even though I can't stand Gregory (he is such a cry baby), at least his demeanor was better than Russert's. Mehlman was great -- that is the only segment I watched on MTP.
