Prominent British Muslims, including three members of Parliament, said in an open letter Saturday that "current British government policy risks putting civilians at increased risk both in the U.K. and abroad."

The letter, printed in several British papers, said Britain's intervention in Iraq and the failure to secure an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah militants in Lebanon were providing "ammunition to extremists who threaten us all."

"The debacle of Iraq and now the failure to do more to secure an immediate end to the attacks on civilians in the Middle East not only increases the risk to ordinary people in that region, it is also ammunition to extremists who threaten us all," said the letter, which was signed by three of four Muslim members of Parliament and 38 Muslim groups, including the influential Muslim Council of Britain.

This Mujahideen crap started way before Iraq, Lebanon, the "Palestine question," or any of that. An Egyptian (name escapes me) who was attending college in Greely, CO in the mid-40s is the spiritual grandfather of modern jihadism. He came to view the United States and the West as decadent and racist (ignoring, of course, the massive bigotry of the Arab world). He founded an organization that influenced a fellow-countryman who,in turn, befriended none other than Osama bin Laden. Our foreign policy is only an excuse. The Jihadist program was well under way long before any of this became an issue.

Although I'm not familiar with the individual you spoke of, I have no doubt. Bush, Blair and the Jooosss are just todays excuse for the rag heads. Tomorrow it will be that the West is stealing the sun every evening. The islam of today desires the same thing as the islam of centuries ago, world domination. To believe otherwise is to commit suicide.

According to sources I've read, the Muzzies think they only have a another generation left to conquer the world for Islam. They feel that demographics and modernity will catch up with the Islamic world by then. So no time to go wobbly now on these goat-humpers, they themselves will privately admit that unless they establish a viable Sunni khalifa within the next quarter century, the future will turn inexoribly against them.
