How can you back that statement up statistically?

Another unintended (?) aspect to this nonsense is the fact that the way hate crime labels are applied it tends to diminish the value of a normal hetero white person's life vs. that of a gay, black or some other media anointed disadvantaged class.
I agree. There's no such thing as a "hate crime." The law is stupid and meaningless.
The only question is why the system is making a point of racial violence between blacks and browns now. What is their political goal here? Some sort of defense of the policy mass immigration?

Nah, I went to a "segregated" school (de facto, not de jure). Have friends and relatives who were though, just for being white in a black area/school.

That would be true if it was possible to be racist against your own race. Dave Chapelle had a skit about the blind black white supremacist, but I'm not aware of anybody who's racist against their own race. Maybe Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton qualify, simply because their modus operandi is to keep black people impoverished.
Why wouldn't it be possible? I've seen instances of it, especially in Louisiana. There are a lot of things you don't know about black people when you are on the outside looking in.
The point is that you are trying to finagle an extremely high crime rate within black America that spills over to white America into evidence of racism whereas those very blacks committing crimes against whites have probably victimized a greater number of blacks.
