British Muslims anxious about plot news

LONDON - News of a thwarted plot to down trans-Atlantic airliners sent a shiver of anxiety through Britain's Muslim community Thursday.

Muslim men accustomed to nervous looks from passers-by after last year's transit bombings noticed they were attracting them again. Some said they worried about a spike in hate crimes and job discrimination.

There was no confirmed word about the religious or ethnic background of those arrested, although a top French official described them as originating from predominantly Muslim Pakistan. Police said only that they were working with Britain's large South Asian community.

Three of the four suicide bombers who struck London's transit system in July 2005 were Britons of Pakistani origin, and many Muslims feared their community would be held responsible this time.

Monirul Sardar, 33, said that after the transit bombings and the Sept. 11 attacks on America, a neighbor left duck droppings on his parked car.

Sardar, a Briton of Bangladeshi origin who runs an east London travel agency, said he'd noticed his bushy beard drawing stares after every major terror attack in recent years.

"It's started up again," he said. "People are afraid of me, mostly. ... If it's an old man, a lady in a hijab (head covering), they'll pick on them."

Harris Bokhari, a spokesman for the Muslim Association of Britain, said the group was asking mosques to urge worshippers to report any racial attacks.

But he said Muslims had demonstrated after the Sept. 11 attacks and the London bombings that they would not let such trouble stop them from participating in British life.

The Muslim community's relationship with police has been fraught in recent months, and some said they were waiting to see what evidence police would produce of the alleged bomb plot.

"They've arrested people, but let's see what they find from them," said Maj Ali, 27, who works at a northeast London restaurant near a home police were searching as part of their terror investigation.

"They didn't find nothing," he recalled of a June raid in which officers shot a man in the shoulder in his east London home during a search for the makings of a chemical bomb.

The man and his brother were arrested but later freed without charge. That raid and the fatal subway shooting last year of an innocent Brazilian man mistaken for a terrorist infuriated many Muslims.

"Was this (airline bomb plot) information really accurate or not from the police in terms of its intelligence?" Bokhari asked. "We need to be aware how these people were arrested."

Near the East London Mosque in the capital's Whitechapel neighborhood, home to a large Muslim population, several people said they feared the terror plot allegations might spark fresh antagonism against them.

"People forget things really easily," Sardar said. "This brings it all back again."

The fact is that indigenous British + all other minority communities (Jews, Blacks, Chinese, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Australians, Irish etc, etc) have been too busy contributing to the actual economic engine and dynamic resource generating potential of the country which has undergone SPECTACTULAR growth in the knowledge-based sectors during the last 15 years. UK schools are good, the economy is hot.

The problem is that for Muslims through their theocratic outlook and focus on Islam have excluded themselves from the mainstream UK knowledge-based economy. As the traditional non-knowledge based industries have DIED OUT in the UK (e.g. Ship / Car building, Coal / Steel, Cotton) Muslims have seen themselves on the outside because having a Certificate in Koran isn't enough to get a job in most service industries where knowledge of MS Excel is more important than an understanding of the Jihadist agenda. Rife with unemployment and dependency on the welfare state parts of London and most of Bradford, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester are hot-beds of Islamic desolation.

The result is that they've found that its easier to use their sheer numbers (LAST CENSUS: 2 MILLION PAKISTANI-MUSLIMS IN THE UK) to bury themselves deep in local government and quasi-governmental institutions (e.g. local councils, agencies and corporations such as the BBC) where MULTICULTURALISM AND RAMPANT POLITICAL CORRECTNESS rather than efficiency of resource consumption is the prevailing mantra. Now they're deep within these organizations they are eating away at the country from the INSIDE using taxpayer dollars to fund Wahabist Maddrassas in the UK as well as Pakistan that churn out SUICIDE MACHINES for the Palestinian, Chechnyan and Kashmiri TERRORIST MACHINES.

Unfortunately for the British, the rot from within isnt visible until it comes to the surface. Since last year its starting to appear externally (viz. a viz events of last week) but still people dont see the signs. France is rotting too, but due to the fact that Muslims have been excluded from their political system which is based on an elitist hierarchical post-revolution system they have not been able to infiltrate that country from the inside and the Paris riots are an externalized symptom, easily identifiable and containable.

While this has been going on in the UK the rest of the British population too busy enjoying rocketing house prices, Pop Idol and Big Brother has looked the other way. Even has Prince Charles has become the "Mullah of the House of Windsor" the public are blinded to the ascent of the Islamic philosophy within their institutes.

I've read recent works like Londonistan which discuss Islamic influence in the UK extensively but YET AGAIN MISS the main point which is the infiltration of local governmental and other QUANGOS by Muslims.

Note my words now: THE UK WILL BE THE FIRST EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRY TO BRING SHARIAH LAWS INTO THE MAINSTREAM CIVIL CODE.

The same could be said of inner-city blacks in this country, although large numbers of blacks are fortunately outside the new plantation system. It's interesting that the French have held their inner cities and banished the muslims to the suburbs. The French may be the last Europeans standing, if present trends continue.

It's been twenty-five years since I've been in Europe. The last time I went was with the US Army on Reforger. We went up into the British sector of Germany. I met a large number of British troops and they were without exception Anglo-Saxon brits. There was no hint of the Briton that we see today, not that I remember anyway.

I'm the CTO type that has to answer to shareholders when someone (normally an Indian or a non-technical bean-counter) brings up the topic of using Indian IT. My response has not changed in over 15 years. If the person, regardless of where they are from, can handle my interview, then they are considered. If they cannot, they are passed over. Simple. I have cut hundreds of people while interviewing. Americans, Indians, Russians, Germans, Estonians, etc.

Of course, my standards and those of people in the industry are worlds apart. Then again, we always deliver the product while product development groups in other companies fail time and again. I have watched as whole departments in other companies have been replaced with a single demographic group. The replacements have no better skills, and are often times caught being... disingenuous... with the facts.

Sten - just FYI man...sitting in your basement selling your used underwear on eBay is not generally considered a "CTO".

But apart from that, if you REALLY had any knowledge about IT rather than the BS spewing forth from your keyboard you would realize that all product delivery quality is a function of two variables time and money. For most large scale outfits the quality is just not a key aspect and having the ability to throw resources at a problem (i.e. cheap labor) is more attractive.

When its demanded of them though and Indian-American can produce as good, if not better quality than the Japanese, viz a viz INDIAN-AMERICANS ARE PRACTICALLY RUNNING MICROSOFT, ORACLE AND IBM.
