Terror scare sends a blunt message to '08 candidates: Defending the U.S. still Job One

One second we are talking about the Lieberman primary loss in Connecticut and the very next, the all-but-carried-out plan by al-Qaida to blow up multiple passenger jets over the Atlantic Ocean. What is the lesson in such a drastic change of subject from the innocuous to the terrifying?

For a number of people in the business of preventing terrorism, it says the 2008 presidential election has to be about electing the candidate most qualified to ensure the national security of our country. It says that ignorance is far from bliss, and potentially suicidal.

Al-Qaida and its twisted imitators will not stop, will not go away, and will not veer from their No. 1 target — the United States. To think otherwise is to endanger our national security.

In various discussions I've had with friends in the military and intelligence services, one point and worry keeps being repeated. Those in the business of protecting America, whether they agree with all of his policies or not, are grateful to have George W. Bush as president.

That is what I have been citing. Unless the RNC, the Gop apparatus and pols finally point out to the voters that the Dem opponents are allies with the Islamos and lefty media in not recognizing the real terror of WWIII, voters will not get it. Defend The Patriot Act. Stand up with opinion columns, blogs, emails, letters et al and keep the pressure on that any, any Dem pol in charge will get this nation killed.

Ah well said my friend, however mainstream America has been hypnotized by the Deans, Boxers, Reids, Kennedy's and Kerry's and now sees you and I as Radical Right Wing Fundamentalists no better then the Islamofacists that we claim exist. It will be a tough fight to gain back the ground won by the Loony Liberals. It may well take another (well orchastrated George W. Bush and Dick Cheney/Rove planned and implemnted conspiracy)to pull it off. Wow it just simply amazes me that the loony toons can say this administration planned a 911 conspiracy that took down the WTC and the Pentagon but couldn's come up with some stockpiles of WMD in Iraq? Simply amazing the incompetence... hahaha...

That's probably what they want. They are desperate to "blame George W. Bush" for everything...including their hangnails.
