Arctic Thunder 2006 is set for today and Sunday at Elmendorf Air Force Base. Gates open at 8 a.m. and close to incoming traffic at 4:30 p.m.
Arctic Thunder's schedule features 16 acts. Military groups include the Army's Golden Knights parachute team and the Navy's premier demonstration precision flying team, the Blue Angels.
Civilian performers include Neal Darnell's Flash Fire jet truck, Carol Pilon with Third Strike Wingwalking and Red Bull Edge aerobatic pilot Kirby Chambliss.
There will also be more than 50 types of military aircraft on display.

I wasn't planning to be there all day, but....I think I need to stop at WalMart I find a chair to take. I forgot about earplugs....I have those. Making a list.
Oh MA, that's awesome! I stayed all day, and it was worth it for sure.

I can hear them now!! I'm not as close to Elmendorf in my new place, so can't see them out the second floor window, but I can hear them at times....like now! They must have made a turn this way.
