(SAN DIEGO, CA, 8/9/06) – On Tuesday, August 8, the San Diego chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-San Diego) conducted a Religious and Cultural Sensitivity Training Seminar about Islam and Muslims for more than 50 federal law enforcement personnel at the FBI San Diego Field Office. The presentation was given by CAIR-San Diego Director of Public Relations Edgar Hopida.
The two-hour presentation was followed by questions from the participants. FBI San Diego Field Office was given a copy of the Quran, Islam's revealed text, and copies of the CAIR publication “A Law Enforcement Official's Guide to the Muslim Community.”
Was their back-slapping and guffaws in the hallway afterwards?
Did they check the muzzies for liquids before the training?
Should have thanked them for the Quran and headed for the toilet.
I feel sorry for the agents that had to sit through this. What's with passing out Korans? Did the FBI give them Bibles? Didn't think so. And doesn't acceptance of this "gift" by a federal agency create an unconstitutional endorsement of religion, especially if the seminar is mandatory? Where's the ACLU? Why won't they pick up the phone when I call?/s

I expect Muslims to be subject to the same laws and the same law enforcement as the rest of us. If some Muslim nut runs around in public declaring Jihad and shooting people, are we supposed to be sensitive to his religion? or will he be shot by a SWAT team like anyone else shooting people?
Just what we need, politically correct police and FBI.
What bull shiite. The only cultural sensitivity that those people deserve is that they behave themselves or they get blasted clear back to the sandbox.

The idea that we must not hurt the sensitive feeling of those associated with a religion that is plotting to kill us, is just ludicrous.
My suggestion to CAIR is that they start apologizing for the member of their religion that are trying to kill us, because it really hurts my feeling that they are not sensitive to me.
Hope the lunch was ham sandwiches and pork rinds. J. Edgar Hoover is spinning in his grave.
Hopefully those giving the training left lots of fingerprints to be lifted and checked against criminal data bases.

The real point of it was so that CAIR could identify the individuals serving in the local field office. Bet CAIR videotaped the audience.

There would be no back slapping because these agents know one wrong word or look can cost them their jobs. PC means holding the line against common sense and violating that brings swift retribution.
Perhaps Muslims could have a training session in not killing everything in sight.
