I not only favor profiling - I favor RACIAL profiling as needed!
I'm German- I agreed with my German grandfather about the validity of profiling during WW2. If anything, it is even more valid to profile now.
This is true, but they weren't all *Arab* muslims. How, actually, can you identify a Muslim of English or Irish descent? Ask them?
And, BTW, not all Arabs are Muslims. Many Lebanese (as many as 40%) are Christian.

Absolutely not. We should waste everyone's time equally, strip search grandmothers, pat down paunchy middle aged white business men, ALL grade school aged children detained for questioning, but muslims, especially muslim men aged 17 to mid thirties, leave them alone. They have never caused any problems. Profiling may be a highly effective tool, but we shouldn't use it to protect ourselves against a very specific threat. That would be wrong on so many levels. There. Feel better?
