This is not about buying phones for use in the Middle East.

This has all the appearance of a plan to detonate lots and lots of IEDs here in the USA.

Be vigilant!

Unfortunately, you have a valid point.

Wouldn't they have to charge all the phones and deploy them with the IEDs in a short period of time to use before the batteries died? It should make for a lot of suspicious activity.

I think the phone companies need to start "randomly" ringing all their phones on a "test the system" basis at various times, especially during commuter times in the am or eve's as well as on special holidays....you might just unexpectantly make a few ied's go off at the wrong times and send a few islamofascists home to Allah!

While I would hope no one innocent may truly get hurt, something has to be done to make even would be terrorists mistrust the weapons they are making!

I agree. I posted a similar theory on the Middle East thread. Note that the IEDs could be shot off all at once per al Qaeda or 100 a week ala Hezbollah.
