I am, as I type this, making signs to use at a Murtha freep tomorrow.
Any ideas on signage would be appreciated.

There probably have been. Murtha has plenty of money for polls. If they don't look good for him he would not likely release them to the media. That leads me to believe that Ivey may be in striking distance.
No one thought Ivey was anything more than a token candidate. So I doubt if there is enough surplus campaign money for Ivey to pay for a poll. Who could have predicted the things that have happened to make the Democrats and Murtha look this bad? Certainly not the Democrats.
The only kind of polls that are useful to a campaign are tracking polls and they are very expensive. But the issues in this race are clearly defined. I suspect that when allocating precious resources the Ivey campaign believes advertising is more important than polls. Especially this early in the campaign.
If you want to see published polls you will likely have to get the media interested in doing polls.

I would love to see IREY beat this guy, have us buck traditional patterns and pick up seats in both houses in both our midterms...just to see the Left's collective head explode.

Semper I is an old Marine Corps term applied to those selfish careerists who place their own success ahead of their men and the well-being of the Corps.
Congressman John Murtha is a living example of that disgraceful term.

I love both of them.
Guess I'll have to buy some more posterboard paper on my way out tomorrow.
I have one that reads:
Murtha's words
Encourage Terrorists
Endanger Our Troops

Reliable polls cost money. Campaigns probably have done some internal polling which of course do not get published. They may be shown to heavy hitter prospective donors to prime the pump. Internals tell them where they have to beef up (in specific demographic or geographic areas) name recognition, support, etc. It is also a bit too early for individual Congressional seats polling. The big pollsters are working on Swann and Santorum's big races (and some of those might throw in results on 12th district).
