LONDON - One of the 24 stopped people Thursday in Great Britain within the framework of supposed plot aiming at exploding airliners bound for the United States was given in freedom Friday and no charge was retained against it, announced the police force.

Am I correct that they referred to this person as "it"? It was from Bablefish. A lot of languages use "he" or "she" for inanimate objects, which get translated into English as "it" unless you know it is something or someone with a sex.

Not a mistake as in misidentification but the person was simply picked up because he were there when the sweep occurred. When it was determined not to be involved, he was released.
