Well, they get my praise now because without their help, we'd have thousands of bodies of innocent victims somewhere in the Atlantic.

The Brits arrested, by and large, were born and raised in England. Pakistan's past actions are certainly partly to blame, but in the WOT, it's what have you done for me lately....

With a "what have you done for me lately" attitude, if I were a Pakistani, I'll set more fires and claim credit for putting them out. That's because they know that for every 10 terrorists they let loose, they just have to catch one to get their pay.

"[Pakistan] remains a fertile ground for Islamic militancy."

In comparing the number of arrests made, Britain is even worse.

That's an incredibly cynical attitude. I'm curious, do you want Pakistan as an ally, or would you prefer that we kill everyone there?

That's an observation based on facts. Every few months they seem to catch a guy and sell him as AQ #3. Yet the number of terror attacks and threats tracing back to Pakistan are increasing by the day. I have lived in Pakistan and know a lot of people in our govt who work with the Pakistanis and I know what they think of us. The "they" here is the govt, not the fundies.

That goes back to the enormous job Musharraf has to do. I applaud him for his efforts so far while insisting that he continue on that course.

I don't think it's realistic to expect the job to be completed within the next decade. It's that entrenched.

But, the progress that has been made is startling. We wouldn't have had this cooperation pre 9/11.

Where do you live? I grew up in your area, and when I visited my parents over the 4th, we heard all about Bucky.

Yay, for Pakistan. Many thanks for their help...

I wouldn't trust em as far as I could nuke em.

For crying out loud.....be thankful for every little help we can get. Stop trying to find something wrong in their actions or second guess their motives.

Sounds like a huge plot to destroy thousands.

Most people seem to have forgotten that 9/11 was designed to kill many more (perhaps by a factor of 10 or 20) than what happened.

I personally, wouldn't either. They house too many of the terrorist critters for it all to be sheer coincidence. But, I'm sure those in charge know what to do, to squeeze the right info. out of 'em...

My paper didn't mention the NSA at all. My guess is the Demo talking points are to skip over any reference to the NSA wiretaps. That's what I've been seeing the libs do on the Factor.

I'm concerned about Musharraf, wondering how many assassination attempts he'll be able to dodge. His number will eventually come up, because these goons are persistent.

Who will control Pakistan's nuclear bombs then?? Iran could use 2 of them to wipe Israel off the planet. - Tom

Gee, why none here? Have they all got ACLU lawyers or something? Harder and harder to believe no one was working this side.

I'm loathe to ask the obvious.
What happens when terrorist teams use very widely known drug smuggling techniques to smuggle bomb components onboard aircraft ?
