There is nothing that says that things were not planned to happen for days prior to the 22nd.
I agree.
What shows up on the xray when passengers walk through?
Couldn't someone put chemicals into ziplock bags and put those into the lining of their coats?
Also, I read that medicines were allowed onboard if the prescription matched the passenger ID. That is an easy work around with what SHOULD be cough syrup. I would think they could even put it into capsules if necessary.
It is going to happen. It is inevitable. There are many ways around this and I don't believe they caught everyone.
The gal asked.....what kind of question is that! Hahahaha.....I'd say it's the perfect question.
The airlines are going to have to supply diapers in boarding areas & on the planes. Contact lens drops too.
Wow. I remember hearing about the incident but never read all the details. This is an absolutely chilling story. And yes, it sounds like they were preparing to carry out the same plot that was foiled yesterday. Thanks for posting the link.

I know how you guys feel too, sorta... my b-i-l's birthday is Nov.22.
As I said on another thread yesterday, I'd stand in line for as many hours as it takes to visit my kids.
And I hope all of you would do the same so that families can live to get to their destination.
Too much bitching and moaning going on.
However, terrorists are to be treated with dignity. No women's underwear for them!
Just shackles for our marines.
How long will it be before some jerk sneaks one of the banned items on board just so they can have their names in the news or try to show how lacking security is (for political purposes)? Remember that happening after the sharp object ban after 9/11? I can see it now, " Jane Doe from Seattle was able to sneak past TSA security a 3.5 oz tube of hand lotion, is our airport security working?."
It's going to happen, trust me. The Drive-By Media is salivating over this kind of a story.
Personnaly, I'm flying September 5th (taking the family to Disneyland) and I can tell you I feel much much much safer with these new restrictions. There is nothing on the new banned list of items I really need to take on carry-on. It may take a couple of days for the airports to adjust and the lines to get back to normal, but I think this is a good move on TSA's part short of doing the best thing which is profiling.
But a suspicious "wet" diaper --if it held explosive gel or liquid-- wouldn't be stinky.
"We'd like to remind people that the suspects are innocent until proven guilty."
Wrong. They are guilty, we just haven't convicted them yet.
On August 16th, a couple of thousand people who planned on flying should stop what they're doing and give thanks to God (and England) that they are still alive.
Y'know, I don't see that writeup as entirely "debunked". I don't put it past the Islamonazis to conduct "tests" under cover of legitimate travel. Note that her account of the actions of the Syrian men was corroborated--then explained away. If I had witnessed what she had it would have certainly gotten my attention.
My son is in the UK, he is scheduled to fly back on 8/16, this just sucks.
Bingo....No way would they be able to test every diaper...In fact I think some have a gel substance in them to keep the moisture away from the skin. How about Depends too!
Ted Olsen's birthday is September 11. His wife, Barbara, delayed her flight to California so she could have breakfast with him that morning. :-(
RIP, BKO

Snopes may have 'debunked' that, but the lady was interviewed by Michael Savage last evening. She was unwavering in what she said she saw. She also said 'local officals' sided with her, but their Washington bosses were the ones who said it didn't happen.
She still contends that the Syrian musicians were doing a trial run. She said the flight attendants were concerned enough to notify the pilot, and that 'officals' were at the plane as soon as it landed.
