Here's something I've been wondering. If the Israeli's sent a bunch of B-52s to bomb Lebanon, would they have to circle around for a while to get enough altitude to drop their ordinance?

I think the more difficult thing would be the lack of Israeli B-52s.

If you have ever watched a fully loaded B-52 take off from Andersen AFB Guam you would not have to ask that question. Once it clears the end of the runway there is a clift and the plane will drop out of sight if you are watching from the runway. After a few minutes it will reappear, climbing slowly way off in the distance. Almost heart-stopping to watch.

Yes, a B-52 would have to circle to gain altitude or go out over the sea, then make the bombing run.
