I doubt the vessel would be within visible range from the coast

Remember, that's just an agreement that the security council won't veto, not an agreement that all sides say yes to...Very little news coming out of the Israeli news sites about it so far today except the military, Likud and various groups on the right don't like it...and I don't think the Israeli people will like it, either...Olmert needs to kick Livni off the cabinet, IMHO. Of course, I think Olmert needs to be possessed by the ghost of Moshe Dayan, and Peretz by Begin, but that's another story....

Interesting that Lebanon now seems willing to agree to a cease fire.

I got a feeling that yesterdays events may have signaled them that the western world is in no mood to play anymore.

i can almost guarantee Israel will not accept any cease fire in the short term if these reports of the Israeli gunboat sinking are true. They would hang Olmert in TelAviv square if he were to accept a cease fire under such circumstances

I have had trouble with the Fox streaming today also...

I got it to come on...then it just quit...my computer said it was having trouble with the server and to try again later.

Do you think this is because so many people are logging on??

I am computer ignorant...but, like you, I was loving it the other day, not one problem....but now, nothing...darn.

A U.N.-authored resolution for a cease-fire in Lebanon has been approved by Israel and the United States.

Dan Gillerman, the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, said the proposal would pave the way for the release of capitive Israeli Defense Forces soldiers, the release of Lebanese prisoners and the disarming of Hezbollah, Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz reported Friday.

"It is estimated that a resolution could be voted on by Friday afternoon, and if not then on Saturday. But still, there is an attempt to reach a resolution on Friday," Gillerman said.

He said the many demands by the Lebanese government, which he said might even be called crybaby, would not serve as the basis of the agreement.

A senior Lebanese political source said the U.N. deal would include an Israeli withdrawel from Lebanon followed by the deployment of international troops, led by French soldiers, in the country.
