There was talk earlier today about Israel cabinet trying to get enough votes for a "no confidence" vote against Olmert.
About that time Israeli forces began moving up farther into Lebanon.

Somebody, PLEASE start a daily "Shep is Deeply Saddened" thread, so we can have printable proof of his obvious inability to remain detached and objective. I used to like him, mostly because he can be funny, but I'm starting to think about seeing if GreenHelmetGuy needs another stringer! Shep would do nicely.

Just for the record, this is not a new quandry. Bush and Condi have just been barely on the same page for the last month. As to Bolton I have no answer except that (I think) he works for Condi. Bush had better wake up. Condi wants a ceasefire regardless. Bush wants an Israeli victory we have been told. I'm starting to wonder. In fact I've been wondering for 4 weeks.
and how do you have a "lightning strike" against an enemy that is purposefully holed up in concrete bunkers and basements, waiting for a tank or APC to come down the street to engage them.

I had just got in the car and must have heard the last of it but it was: "the Israeli military threatened a coup of the Olmert government."

I guess it was so quick that Fox missed it. Shep still hyperventilating about Israel defying a UN resolution....about how Israel can't possibly overtake his buds, the Hezbollah.
I'm in awe at the incredible job Bush's administration has done in delaying the "official" international community's response so Israel could continue taking care of Hezbollah. Condi and Bolton deserve the highest accolades, along with others whose names we'll probably never know.
Vote delayed at least to 7 eastern, and maybe not at all...something's up....
