Nope, GOPers won't vote for him; Dems might, though...if Hillary is the Dem candidate.

We should welcome Bloomberg's run for the presidency in 2008. With his socially liberal views and outright pro-abortion perspective, the only one he'll draw votes from is the Democrat if the nominate a loon like Dean.

Pleeeasssssse there is NO WAY bloomberg can win. He is worse than the previous mayor. And that is not say much. Neither will be President.

Don't forget that Bloomberg has a billion or two to buy television advertising. As Ross Perot demonstrated, that goes a long way.

Uh...Bloomberg has been a very good, very effective mayor of New York City.
That doesn't mean he'll win the Presidency, or should, but it's just plain wrong to say that he's not a good mayor. He runs the city like a successful company.

Any Republican who is liberal enough to be elected mayor of New York is too liberal to get the GOP presidential nomination. That went for John Lindsay 35 years ago and it goes for Bloomberg and Rudy in 2008.

Agree. Liberal votes from NY may be split that may give the state to the Republican candidate. So, yeah. I don't think he'll hurt Rep more than he'll hurt Democrats.

Bloomy only won, because the alternative was soooooooo dreadful, that even a lot of Dems couldn't bring themselves to to pull the lever for him. But that would NOT translate, in a national presidential run; especially not with Bloomy as some weirdo fringe candidate.

Continually using a picture of Rudy, dressed for an annual show, where ALL politicos dress up and sing and do skits, it about as useful as any Reuters' pictures are.

What's you nic over on DU and do you work for TIME?

No, it isn't known if Bloomy is limp wristed. He WAS married, has two adult daughters and he is "dating" a long time girlfriend. Not that the later proves much of anything. LOL

Glad you liked the pics. Rudy in pink is a FR fave. And we gotta get Rudy's image photoshopped on that ape. Bloomie sure knows how to pick 'em, eh? Here's a little blurb you might like.

EXCERPT: BLOOMBERG BUCKS HEADED TO RUDY March 22, 2005 Count Mayor Bloomberg (a notorious gun-grabber and anti-lifer) among those writing checks to Rudy Giuliani's political action committee. Records show Bloomberg chipped in $5,000 to Solutions America, Giuliani's PAC. Giuliani — to no one's surprise — endorsed Bloomberg for re-election. http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/42987.htm

But New York Republicans are skeptical, and worry about Giuliani’s liberal credentials. Giuliani ran three times for mayor on the state’s Liberal Party line. At the same time, he deliberately distanced himself from the state’s influential Conservative Party.

Others question Rudy’s loyalty to the Republican party. In New York’s hotly contested 1994 gubernatorial race that pitted incumbent ultra-liberal Democrat Mario Cuomo against Republican George Pataki, Giuliani decided to endorse Cuomo...... The news clips of Rudy's face at loser Cuomo's concession speech were priceless.

Giuliani’s continued questionable judgement raised eyebrows in the aftermath of Sept. 11 when he sought to suspend New York city’s elections to extend his term of office.

Here's another popular Rudy pic, posted just for you.

Rudy has not said if he'll campaign against Hillary in this outfit.

He looks much better in high heels than she does.

Although those calves of his could use some lipo.....
