Talk about pejorative "reporting" ... and let us not forget, in America, even the accused are supposed to be considered innocent until proven guilty. The reporter branded them guilty, forgot to use the word "alleged" preceding "martyrs", etc., a privilege even people caught on tape committing crimes are still granted by the ancient media, for the most part.
I suppose that's what they would have been.
As for what you call someone who watches network news.... I'd say, susceptible.
Traditionaly, one thinks of martyrs as Jim Elliot, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, or the early Christians martyred for their faith during the Roman times/era.
The word martyr has usually been aligned with a noble/heroic or faith action.
...not with a hatefilled zealot determined to take down women and children with him, or her.

Was pleasantly surprised to see David Gregory looking like he had the wind knocked out of him. No mention of Chuckie Schumer's traumatic flight cancellation in London.

I thought a martyr was someone who held onto their beliefs, despite being persecuted. I think that the victims of these barbarians would have been closer to being a martyr than the violent, mind numbed, Islamo-fascists.
