CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa—The former fiance of a woman whose daughter was found slain last year in northern Iowa has been sentenced to 14 years in prison on federal child pornography charges.
Twenty-six-year-old Casey Frederiksen, of Charles City, was indicted on 14 counts of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to three counts in February.
US District Judge Linda Reade could have sentenced Frederiksen to anywhere from eleven years to 14 years in prison.
She says she opted for the high-end of the sentencing guidelines because of Frederiksen's prior child sexual assault conviction, and because of his attempt to hide the hard drive on which the child pornography images were found.
Let's see...14 years for porn, 6 months for rape and molestation.
