I find myself coming to FR less and less, not because I don't like this site (I still do), but because I simply don't give a damn about either party anymore. Both parties at the organizational level are populated with sleazebags and a-holes, the kind of people you wouldn't urinate on if they were on fire. Yes, I will feel a bit safer if the Republicans hold on to Congress, but my wallet won't. Both parties are leading us towards socialism, so it really doesn't matter who I vote for any longer.

And no, I am not advocating voting for third party candidates, but simply airing my disgust with the entire, scummy political class in this country. The citizens of this country, most of them, anyway, deserve better.

I agree. We often have to vote for the lesser of two evils, but the results of not voting gave us Bill Clinton and I'm not about to let that happen again.

You seem intelligent. How on earth does it not make a difference if the country creeps towards socialism slowly or races there at 100 miles per hour? HOW ON EARTH DOES THAT NOT MATTER?! Suck it up and get a stomach. This is no time to cut and run because we're 'peeved' that things are not going the way we would like.
