The screwup here is transporting ammunition into Mexico. There are strict regulations about the kinds of firearms and ammo that may be possessed by a non Mexican government employee. It's so strict that you can pretty much assume everything is prohibited. Taking 13,000 rounds wasn't an "oops". If she forgot about a 50 rd box in a jacket pocket, the ammo would have been confiscated and a warning issued. She had very different intentions.
As of today, I can't even take my favorite toothpaste on an aircraft...Nanny law!...so be it. So, if I have to carry one extra card to keep Juan Valdez, illegal immigrant from Rancho Mexicali or wherever from buying guns and ammo with a $12 fake drivers license and taking out my family and friends...so be it. We've got alot of illegals here, ya know?
I have said in prior posts..(did you read them?), that it's no big deal. Just like a drivers license, just reviewed more closely and used to compare to the hunting and other licenses required. Harder to duplicate and would just make someone bent on no good to go to....let's see..oh yeah...Utah to kill and maim because they give out gunpowder like candy with no checks whatsoever.
OK, you keep the crazies and I'll be happy to carry my "extra" license. I'll leave my toothpaste at home(like you), remember I can't drive legally without a driver's license(like you), and know that there is one more check before an illegal in this state can get a weapon(unlike you).
Sorry Utah....I meant Idaho!
