Since they are concerned with liquids, a simple taste test is not enough. It is too easy to seal a baby bottle filled with most any liquid with saran wrap, put two ounces of milk on top of the saran wrap, then screw down the lid.
Security should take off the tops of all bottles and force a metal rod to the bottom prior to the taste test.
