I guess everyone will be checking their expensive laptops, cameras, etc. from now on. British baggage handlers must be more honest than Americans.

Yikes! The Brits are getting serious.

":: For those traveling with an infant: baby food, milk (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger) and sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight (nappies, wipes, creams and nappy disposal bags)."

Since they are concerned with liquids, a simple taste test is not enough. It is too easy to seal a baby bottle filled with most any liquid with saran wrap, put two ounces of milk on top of the saran wrap, then screw down the lid.

Security should take off the tops of all bottles and force a metal rod to the bottom prior to the taste test.

Didn't one of the top UK cops just the other day say that anti-terrorism laws were just descrimination against Muslims?

Imagine what we would now know about all the 9-11 flights if no passengers had been permitted to have their cell phones on their persons.

1. Lease some 747's and schedule flights to Eire where this rule does not apply

2. Lease some fast hovercraft for the run to UK

3. Profit!

Seriously.... I have always had contempt for the left and their characterization of anti-terror activities as "fascist". I have a little less contempt after reading this story.

"milk (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger)"

Wow... bottoms up...

It's amazing, many airlines are jammed up with disruption.

The Liberals will point the finger at Bush and Rove while citing the Mid Term Elections...

Bush and Rove had nothing to do with the problem of evil, it's alive and well - ask any philosopher.

As for Lemont and the other Pacifists...

Theodore Roosevelt

The pacifist is as surely a traitor to his country and to humanity as is the most brutal wrongdoer.

Passengers may take only the following items through a airport security search point. They must be in a single (ideally transparent) plastic carrier bag.

If I'm reading this correctly, that means no leather or cloth purses.

Betcha women turn back in droves when told to check their purses. Like HELL I'm checking my Judith Leiber so you screener goons can thug it!
