An Israeli soldier avoids dust as a military helicopter prepares to land on the Israel-Lebanon border August 9, 2006 to evacuate troops injured in fighting in southern Lebanon.
OMG AJ has a Darius complex.
Sleuth, it is one thing to leave troops along the border, it is another thing to begin the march into Lebanon and then turn back. That is tantamount to surrender. These troops already had a forward momentum and the mindset that the offensive was expanding. I hope we are reading and hearing the wrong things. Maybe the troops are on hold where they are; I just don't know.
They were on the way to provide back-up to other units who may now be stranded, as well.
One thing is certain: this stop-and-start, uncertain way of waging war is shameful, dangerous and sends the wrong signal.
I wouldn't want to be an IDF general at this moment.
J...to be fair...I saw somewhere today a poll that said that 90% of the Israeli people WANT the war to continue..and get rid of Hezbollah..
This is one case where the PM is REALLY on a different page than the citizens of his country.
Are these posters that are familiar to you? I don't recall seeing them on this thread or the Sunday Morning Talk Show thread...
Wallace is incoherent and incompetent.
The old fossils from the "Hay Day" of dinosaur media neeed to go. Wallace has long ago forgot its about reporting .NOT about him he is not the event.
With the political cover Wallace is trying to give I'm a amadinajahd, he might as well be an usher at the "showers" for the holocaust on the horizon.
Revised draft calls for 'progressive' IDF withdrawal from south Lebanon

sleuth, forgive me, I get emotional and ..this is why i could never do politics...I've often said that I would gladly give my life for democracy and as a matter of fact I'd rather give my life for democracy than particpate in it....just gives me a knot in the stomach
I agree. I am at the point of being confused as to what this was all about. Putting the leftists and moderates in power has weakened them all around. This is the second time Israel will surrender southern Lebanon.
I'm glad I listened to Medved instead of Hannity.... for sure.
"With the political cover Wallace is trying to give amadinajahd, he might as well be an usher at the "showers" for the holocaust on the horizon "
So mad I can't type straight.
You can literally see the waffling take place. He's the Israeli Jimmy Carter!
we all do, the same way they do
I haven't slept well for weeks, but it isn't fear as much as a need to pray. Whatever happens is in God's hands and you know that. He will never leave you and he will not abandon His people.
I suspect that time is going to be very short for Israel. Olmert has best prepare for the next battle. The terrorists have only been emboldened and will be back with more and better weapons very soon. Hezbollah's reputation is now that they have fought the vaunted IDF to a standstill.
Count your blessings LOL. When my son called the first thing he said was- Ma..remember when Dan Rather interviewed Saddam? HAHAHaa! I said- if you're calling about Hannity I don't want to hear it!...He didn't miss a beat and proceeded to give me a blow by blow...sheesh- this is the reward for having a kid grow up listening to Rush!
I knew when Sean announced the interview beforehand that I wouldn't listen to it. I detest Mike Wallace and consider him mentally incompetent. Anyway, before I could zap the radio I heard Sean greet him with, "You're a great American!" Could not believe Sean would say THAT to MIKE WALLACE!!! I was too angry for words.
BAAAHAHAHAHAaaa!! A Rodney King moment..
I saw that poll. Will they demand a change of leadership? I don't understand the mindset of Israel....so I guess I'll leave it to the people who live there and die there to sort it all out. Reading what Wallace said on Seans show is very discouraging. I wonder how many feel the same way he does?
