An Israeli soldier avoids dust as a military helicopter prepares to land on the Israel-Lebanon border August 9, 2006 to evacuate troops injured in fighting in southern Lebanon.
Well if I have to be stuck on a thread for a few years, I would choose this one... Full of interestings, knowledgeable, wise and wise acre folks. :-)
Does Amy Kellog irritate anyone else?

maybe a sash also
I remember that...and Bush got excoriated over the word "crusade" ....but he was right.
What was the casualty rate at the Iwo Jima landing?
I've been one of many thinking that the good guys would take on the bad guys finally, but the US has moved its position according to more sources I've just discovered. Hezbollah will not be required to disarm. John Bolton does not set policy as much as I love his perspective. I think Arabs threatened to quit their cooperation on the war on terror with Al Quieda or something like that and the US blinked.
She doesn't irritate me as much as does Sheppy and Jonathan Hunt...plus, she isn't on that much usually.
Interesting progression of words from Pres. Bush:
crusade
religion of peace
islamofascists
Just curious---where in MD are you? I spent my childhood in Baltimore County, and later years in AA County (worked at NSA in Fort Meade for 30 years :) Currently residing in PA, but am always homesick for MD...
He used this in reference to Islam?
I think he needs a change of terminology on this one.
ROFL. The ones you bite off the end and bottoms up? LOVE THEM! (and glad to be sharing a laugh with y'all today too by the way- we need it!) You can picture me with a giant foil ball by the end of a trans-Atlantic flight. Or maybe I could save the foil wrappers and donate them to the DNC for head wraps?
Don't be offended, but I pray you are wrong...and the US holds firm.
And here is the dessert to go with your entree:
Ask Georgia Candidate To Meet With Muslims Over Terrorist Remark
I find Amy Kellog quite irritating.....Shep just informed the world that our National Guard troops are merely "symbolic".....thanks Shep. Terrorists just love this kind of info.
"Don't be offended, but I pray you are wrong...and the US holds firm."
I would love to be wrong on this. I pray I'm wrong about this, but there's a scent in the wind suggesting I'm unfortunately correct :-(
This is all I could find on UN site:
New York, 10 August 2006 - Statement attributable to the Spokesman for the Secretary-General On the situation along the Blue Line
The Secretary-General is working very intensely with Security Council members and key leaders, both here and in capitals, to push for a resolution concerning the situation along the Blue Line.
He reiterates his call that the fighting must stop to save civilians on both sides from the nightmare they have endured for the past four weeks.
The Secretary-General believes that it ought to be possible for the Security Council to adopt a resolution by the end of the week.
WTF? What was he talking about?
Check Freepmail.....
I believe that the NG has been called up or put on alert in some cities.....but not to worry, according to Shep....they're merely symbolic.
