I don't have a super problem with the fun and levity. Sober dramas need some levity at times, at least. And we all need fun--at least healthy fun.

But please avoid carping at folks who ALSO HAVE THEIR OWN SPONTANEOUS, STRONGLY HELD TENDENCIES TO RESPOND TO SUCH A TOPIC.

I suppose one could start such a thread and include in the title: "PLEASE--ALL EVANGELICALS INTERESTED IN PROPHETIC STUFF--GO ELSEWHERE AND LEAVE OUR THREAD ALONE."

BUT

IF

the END TIMES interested EVANGELICALS started a thread with the same title as this one

and included such a line asking the naysayers to stay away and avoid carping; poking fun--JOINING IN--IN THE DISCUSSION IN ANY AUTHENTIC WAY etc.

THEN AN UNHOLY HELL OF A SHRILL WHINE ALL THE WAY TO ALL THE MODS AND JIMROB WOULD INSTANTLY ENSUE.

Now where

There have been dozens of end times threads and if they are serious, then most Freepers back out if they're not interested in furthering the conversation. It's a question of manners. This is a light thread because everyone has been under such tremendous pressure lately and for some to come on a thread that is over 500 posts long and attempt to throw cold water on the thread is downright rude and inconsiderate.

We expect people to use their good judgement and those who obviously expose their lack of judgement are bound to get "nudged" a bit.
