I heard Lanny too. I will give him credit for one thing...as much as he defended Bill Clinton, he ALSO refused to attack President Bush, whom he knew while at Yale. I remember him saying that George Bush was a wonderful man, and although he disagreed with him politically he would not speak ill of him personally.
I wonder how Matthews is playing this defeat/victory?
