She is a bad penny and will be back. Didn't Clinton appoint her as an ambassador someplace after she lost her last election?

You understand, of course, the if Lieberman wins in November, he will caucus with the Dims in the Senate, so the seat remains Dim for all practical purposes.

I may be wrong but one consolation is that he will have lost all Dem seniority and will lose all his plum committee assignments.

I think Shep is next to be out.

I thought Sheperd Smith had been out of the closet for years. C'mon, a 42 year old single man who lives in Manhattan's Chinatown and wears make-up every day?

the brutal political reality

I am so sick of hearing about the "political reality" factor. I would rather work for change than lay down and roll over like the conservative/republican/silent majority has been doing for three decades.

Picking your battles is part of an effective strategy. The GA 4th is not a smart battlefield.

Johnson isn't a 'moonbat'. He's a liberal through and through, but not a 'moonbat'.

The difference is essentially this, if you disagree with Johnson, he'll try to explain to you why he disagrees and try to persuade you to his side. If you disagree with McKinney, you are a racist, a facist, and it's all GWB's fault, it's all the J-E-W-S falt, etc.

It isn't different for the vote in Congress, but it's different for the tone of national discourse, which is important.

That's up to the D's. They will either let him keep his seniority or they won't, it isn't set in stone.

You know, I just thought of something:

McKinney was rumored to be courted by the Green Party to run for President...I think in 2004 before her seat opened up again. Do you think they might approach her again in 2008?

How great would that be? I'm sure she'd get at least 3-5% from the moonbat left. If only half of those otherwise would have voted, that would still give a 1.5-2.5% edge for the R.
