Pregnant Woman Recounts Shooting Rampage

NEW YORK (AP) - Dayna Klein was writing thank you notes and making telephone calls in her office at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle when she heard what sounded like bubble wrap popping.
When she also heard screaming and hurried footsteps, she got up from her desk and went to the office doorway and encountered a man holding a handgun.
As he pointed the gun at the pregnant Klein, she reflexively covered her stomach with her left arm. The bullet pierced her forearm and thigh - but missed her midsection.
She later called 911 and convinced the gunman to speak with the operator, leading to his surrender. The July 28 shooting rampage - fueled partly by ethnic hatred, authorities say - left one woman dead and five others, including Klein, injured.
``I was trying to save the baby,'' Klein, who is four months pregnant, said Tuesday in Manhattan on the eve of a scheduled appearance on NBC's ``Today'' show. ``I took a one-in-a-million chance and I was right.''
After she was shot, the gunman left Klein's office, storming through other parts of the second floor, firing shots and threatening to kill anyone who called police.
With blood soaking her clothing, Klein, 37, crawled from the doorway to her desk and grabbed the phone. As she began pleading for help with the 911 operator, the gunman, wearing jeans and a green rugby shirt, returned.
``'Since you can't follow ... directions,''' Klein recalled him telling her, ```now you're the hostage.' He put the gun up against my head and starting barking orders at me to tell the 911 operator.''
Klein said the gunman told her that he was a Muslim, and that Jews...

They are implying that he was also fueled by hatred of the Bush admin. Which by leaving that implication unnamed, they are implying that the Bush admin is culpable.

Pretty darn brave, he managed to kill one unarmed 58 year old woman, and wound one unarmed 37 year old pregnant woman. If that isn't a credit to Islam, I don't know what is.
They reported on King5 news tonight that the shooter is smirking in the court room. I wish that fact would get reported by all the media, but it won't.
I am so interested in this terrorist attack against Americans and I have to come to FR to find anything out. When is a hate crime not a hate crime? Apparently when it is against a Jew, or a Christian.

Just what I was thinking. It almost makes one want to roll a in a bottle of piss Mohammad into the Islamic Centre of Tri-Cities in Richland, Washington. However, such would be foolish because this is how they get their power: through people's hatred.
Maybe he didn't like pregnant women. Or women. Or Jews? Didn't he mention Jews? And that he was a Muslim with a mission of some sort? Lemme see, how deep can we bury this...
Exactly. An innocent person was murdered in cold blood. No doubt the killer wanted to kill more. Yet this story hasn't gotten the exposure it should have. Amazing that the media is far more fascinated with the utterances of celebrities, drunk and/or self-promoting, that with this case.
I doubt the veracity of this so-called story. If this event really took place, it would have been front-page news in all the papers, and the lead story on all the alphabet networks. The MSM would have flooded us all with wall-to-wall follow-up stories and interviews with the surviving victims. A peaceful Muslim attacking innocent women just because they are Jewish? A totally outlandish premise for a made up story. </sarc>

Folks, this was a Muslim domestic terrorist incident, and the MSM REFUSES to report on it. They have even gone so far as to call this particular a Christian! They refused to report on the Muslim who ran his car into the students at the college, or the Muslim with the back pack full of explosives who attemted to enter a crowded football stadium 3 times...
