Three-term Sen. Joe Lieberman trailed in early returns Tuesday, struggling to overcome a tough primary challenge and escape payback from his own party for supporting the Iraq war.
Six years after Democrats backed him for vice president, Lieberman was trailing with 44 percent, or 25,596 votes, to political novice Ned Lamont's 56 percent, or 32,840 votes, with 19 percent of precincts reporting.

Lieberman will run as an independent, and win with many R crossover votes.

It looks as though the Rats have officially booted their moderate left for the extreme which is going to be the death nail in their coffin.

Isn't Lamont a heavy favorite in the fall if Republicans run someone too?

Shhh!
Don't let the Jews know how much they are despised by the left. Once the Jews find out, it won't be long before the blacks start to wonder too.

He is if they run the loser who's their nominee right now. But if the GOP can get a viable candidate, they can win this race.

Can the GOP change candidates?
In Texas, will the GOP even have a candidate in the DeLay slot? (I have been on vacation and have not heard.)

It's sad that the hate-Israel-hate-America-first left was able to win a primary. The stupid leftists hate Jews, period. They deny it, but that's what energizes them.

In Connecticut, the GOP can change candidates if the current nominee drops out. So far, he refuses to do so.
In Texas, DeLay will try to get his name removed from the ballot so that Republicans can get a write-in candidate to run.
