Already in use in AZ. Too bad the rest don't follow the same path :-)
From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Arpaio
Joe Arpaio has frequently been referred to as America's Toughest Sheriff.Upon his initial election as sheriff of Maricopa County in 1992, Arpaio immediately began instituting changes at county jails.

He has also set up the Tent City as a modification of the Maricopa County Jail. As it becomes crowded, more tents are set up. As temperatures climbed well past 100 during the summer of 2003, Arpaio said to complaining inmates, "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents too, and they have to wear full battle gear, but they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your damned mouths![2]"

He began to serve inmates surplus food, reducing meal costs to 40 cents per day [1]. He has banned coffee (for having no nutritional value), smoking, and porno magazines. He has removed the weightlifting equipment and cut off all but "G" movies. The cable TV system (which is mandated by court order), has but two stations, the Disney Channel and the Weather Channel.
Inmates are issued pink underwear as part of their uniforms and all guards use pink handcuffs.

Why is this government allowing potential terrorist to enter the United States on student visa's?This country has to get its thought patterns right. We cannot afford to let these terror indoctrinated students into our country and place our populace at risk.

That's pre-911 thinking that must disappear.IMHO

It is past time to completely shut down the borders in their entirety. They should be 100%militarized and no exceptions, all immigration completely stopped. This action should've been done on 9-11."Tolerance is the Trojan Horse of America's enemies"!

You are right (so right) of course. Here's what worries me: Not only is there no "one issue" candidate on the horizon who would do this, but even if there were, he couldn't get the votes because the country is so fractionalized about other issues: welfare, abortion, estate taxes, the environment. A candidate couldn't say something like "I'll look into these other things, and you all may not agree with my decisions on one issue or another, but security and cultural integrity are what is important and what you are voting for. Don't lose focus." I don't think a guy like that exists, and even if he does, that he can get elected.

I suppose we could compromise in this case and allow Al Jazeera and the Mariachi channels.

I believe it was Ripley who told Ash "And you let it in."

You know, I think this country would really come together if it were just outer-space Aliens that we were battling. We never can seem to wrap our brains around a Threat From Within, can we? :(

I like how you think, Gritty!

Having laid miles and miles of razor wire in my previous career, I can tell you it is one awesome deterrent, especially when backed up with some knee-high Claymore Mines. ;)

Civilians. Pfft! Whadda they know? :)

"You believe him, right?"

I like President Bush and he's done a lot of good things for this Country (tax cuts, two AWESOME Supreme Court appointments, vetoing taxpayer funding of BOGUS embryonic stem-cell research to name a few that have pleased me, personally) but he's human. And he's a politician.

I do what I can locally and work for my particular "causes" where I live, as should we all. I don't EVER expect a Superman to swoop in and save me...especially one swooping in from the National level.

Government doesn't help me; I help me. If more of us had that attitude, we'd be in less of a pickle today concerning the invasion of Our Homeland.

And yes, I am totally in favor of militarizing our borders. That should've happened on 9/12 as far as I'm concerned.

"You believe him, right?"

I'll take that as a "no"

I don't EVER expect a Superman to swoop in and save me...especially one swooping in from the National level.

Indeed, but defending Americans on American Soil is JOB # 1, we spend HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of Taxpayer Dollars for "defense" of other J-O countries and jack-squat for our ports and borders.

Frankly, I expected more from a 100% gop controlled government, didn't you?

Go Packers

"Frankly, I expected more from a 100% gop controlled government, didn't you?"

We all did. Conservative voters/taxpayers thought we'd get more things done, libs were terrified and on the ropes.

Whatever power we had was lost the minute we showed our underbelly. Not only have the libs struk at every opportunity, but I expect worse things ahead for our National Security due to inaction from the top down, though many states are taking things into their own hands, and IMHO that's how it should be; but the Feds don't need to stand in our way and hog-tie us any further.

And I'm one of the most POSITIVE people you'll find around here! :)
