The FBI has issued an urgent nationwide alert for 11 Egyptian students who entered the United States last week but failed to show up for their courses at Montana State University.
An FBI advisory says there are, at present, no known connections to any terrorist group but that the students are to be "approached with caution" and taken into custody. They "are here illegally and wanted for questioning," the advisory says.
The advisory comes just over a month before the five-year anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks on the United States.
"This is of very serious concern and is being closely tracked," said Rep. Peter King (R-NY), Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.
The FBI says the Egyptians arrived at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on July 29 and disappeared. The advisory says the alert is nationwide but that there is specific concern the Egyptians may be on the Eastern Seaboard.
According to the advisory the 11 missing Egyptians are:
1. Ibrahim, El Sayed Ahmed Elsayed; DOB OF 4/29/1986.
2. El Dessouki, Eslam Ibrahim Mohamed; DOB OF 02/21/1985.
3. El Bahnasawi, Alaa Abd El Fattah Ali; DOB OF 04/02/1986.
4. Abd Alla, Mohamed Ragab Mohamed; DOB OF 02/15/1984.

Where are the PICTURES!!!!
Are they afraid of racial profiling?
"They might be a part of Iran's D-Day on Aug. 22nd."
I don't know about you guy, but I plan to leave the city on the 20th, and return the 24th. Also plan to be upwind. Need a vacation anyway, good time to be gone.
So as not to offend them.
Hold on a second here. No one on this thread has so far stated that these men, if they were going to blow themselves up somewhere, "in no way would represent the majority of peace-loving Muslims." I think we need to hear that over and over, don't you? That will put us at ease. Oh yeah, also put police around mosques, like that police dude in Seattle, in case there's "backlash." I think CAIR might already have a press release condemning possible backlash over the eventual bombing.
Oh, that's right! I just keep forgetting that I am just an in-consequential biased W.A.M. (white american male)
Naw! I know a half dozen young women (27 to 37)who prefer the company of men over 50.
Life is good.
sarcasm /off
LOL.
Good morning. Mr. Peach took great care of me with the exception that at 9:30 at night he really didn't believe me that getting some popsicles would help my sore throat :-)
FNC will be updating about the missing Egyptians, but it doesn't sound like there is much new.
"According to the American scientist institute, it would take roughly 3 years to enrich enough U-235 (50kg minimum),using 150 centrifuges,to detonate a "gun type" nuclear bomb similar to the ones missing from the Soviet Union."
Ha ha. You and others are so worried about Iran trying to MAKE the stuff, and they can BUY it from North Korea or Russian. The only reason for them to continue to try and make it is so they don't have to pay for it anymore.
I love the "approach with caution", BTW. Kinda hard to do without pics.
If they did, in fact, miss their connecting NWA flight out of JFK to Minneapolis/Bozeman, then the next available flight on NWA would have been 7:05 a.m. the next morning, and the next flight on any airline out of JFK would have been 6:10 a.m. the next morning. The bottom line is that if they missed the connecting flight, they would have been on their own for the night, which should not have been a big deal given the number of hotel rooms in the vicinity of NYC. Since the other members of their traveling party were able to find their way to Bozeman, I have to assume that these scholars could have also found their way to Bozeman if that was their real goal.
From the link:
Officials at the Egyptian Consulate in New York and the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, D.C., said they were unfamiliar with the situation.
Okaaaaay....
Trying to give the FBI the utmost benefit of the doubt here...maybe it was noticed at the airport that they didn't look anything like their photos. Maybe the school had photos that differed from the passport photos and someone actually checked those? So the men scattered in NY rather than in Montana, because they figured they weren't getting any farther otherwise. Maybe.
I wouldn't say the MSM has been all over this story -- anything new?
also check boston area....and florida....
Well, I for one am much relieved for these poor boys. Their 6 compadres were on-camera for a millisecond on an MSM news show yesterday and 2 stepped forward and spoke with the reporter, in English for 2 milliseconds.
Whew! At least the others will probably be able to make their way around without an interpreter.
And, yes, then IMing or texting could work!
