It's interesting that I'm seeing a total lack of the "women are unfit for combat!" posts that I usually see on women in the military threads. It must be the "hotness" factor that makes a difference? :)

Personally, I never understood the arguments anyway. While I don't support directly mixing the troops during operations (men and women shouldn't be in the same foxholes), there are plenty of women who would do fine in combat. I'm a damned good shot, but my own little sister (I caller her little, but she's 26) can shoot a 6-7 inch group at 1000 yards. Not good enough for the military?

(although I believe the article said they'd gotten down to their bra's and panties and nobody could figure out where they pulled the pistol outta at that stage - /pali fantasizing).
