That's the problem with web-based stuff-- you have to follow all the links, search the comments for further fact-checking, links, etc., and pull it together yourself-- it's why people still watch the nightly news. Damn it.
Nonetheless, let me take a stab at it:
Here's where it started:
Here's where it stand today:
Richard at EU Referendum has some very apt comments on the Reuters Photoshop Scandal, and the likelihood that photos of the aftermath of the Qana bombing were staged by Hizballah. Ive tried to bring up this subject in every interview, because I agree with Richard that this practice is much more insidious than clumsy image editing.
A synopsis of better links:
Kudos to LGF for spotting the photoshopping. And to the Freepers who helped demonstrate the fakery. Ace o' Spades, Hot Air, and Left & Right get honorable mentions as well. JPod at the Corner also notes Charles' takedown of Reuters.
Ain't THAT it in a nutshell! ? ! I see so many people in my own family, from grandparents down to niece/nephew, that are just so consumed in their life that they miss all this other stuff completely.
People I know, who are not ignorant by any means, are not even aware that Iran Achmadinmybadinmyjob has verbally threatened Israel's right to exist, much less that Dan Rather was a forger/enabler, much less that all American Newspapers pull their propaganda directly from the Reuters/Goebbels newsfeed!
Even FOX NEWS has not managed to meet the challenge of beating the Nightly News with a "Blog Summary". THe best they have, for crying out loud, is a car-chase with mascara.
Oy. Vey.
