I understand your concern Redquill, as I am a parent too, and would be heartbroken if my adult kids got lost in a foreign country.

Umm. I have to confess: As a parent to offspring that are not male Egyptian visa-violators...I'm actually not worried about them. I was being sarcastic. Or was it sardonic? No, I wasn't laughing, so it was sarcasm. Sorry I wasn't clearer about that.
