The head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards said the United States and Israel would not survive if they attacked his nation, the IRNA news agency reported today.
"Without doubt, if the criminals (the United States and Israel) want to make any moves against Iran they will be stricken by a blow 100 times stronger and they will not survive in the face of Iran's power," General Yahya Rahim Safavi was quoted as saying.
Iran is under threat of international sanctions if it fails to comply with a United Nations Security Council resolution to suspend uranium enrichment by August 31.
Washington has also never ruled out the use of force against Iran.
Israel meanwhile yesterday accused Iran of "stoking instability in the region" after a barrage of Hezbollah rocket fire killed 15 people in northern Israel.
Israel regularly accuses Iran and Syria of backing Hezbollah and feeding the Lebanese Shiite militia's arsenal.
Tehran and Damascus reject this, saying they only offer moral support.

Yet again, there's an obvious threat here to the United States. Someday I deeply wish that the United States would react the way it used to towards direct threats.

These clowns need to come up with something better. You're asking a lot from a culture that hasn't contributed to civilization in at least 1,000 years.

I love the way the article treats evenhandedly the Israeli "accusation" that Iran and Syria are supplying material support to Hezbollah and the Iranian and Syrian denials. Never mind the plain fact that anybody with eyes can watch the deliveries of weapons from Iran to the Hezbaloonians on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, both Iran and N. Korea believe it!
And, with the panty-waists consuming 50% of the oxygen within the US, maybe these total nut-cases are right!
That's the sad part!

I'll be sure to lose some sleep tonite worrying about Iran attacking the USA. Do these camel humpers even KNOW what armaments this country posseses? Have they ever seen a stealth bomber in action? Do they know what are nuclear subs (sitting outside their front door) can do to them in one afternoon? Idiots!

Let me correct that for you:
"Do they know what just one of our nuclear subs (sitting outside their front door) can do to them in one afternoon with just a fraction of it's weaponry? Idiots!"
There. Better.

Hey, lets not forget they have sleeper cells here and can probably kill a lot of people before we stop them.
With that said, then they will learn what the term RETALIATION really means...
