"My T-shirt is more than mere provocation."

Yes it is.

In Germany, they call that a 'crime'.

You can also chalk it up to sheer stupidity. Bush is NOT Hitler.

It is an example of a dumb German trying to make excuses for the past as much as it is demonizing his political enemies of today.

The National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, otherwise known as the Nazi Party, was socialist, and it had a lot in common with the modern left. Hitler preached class warfare, agitating the working class to resist "exploitation" by capitalists -- particularly Jewish capitalists, of course. Their program called for the nationalization of education, health care, transportation, and other major industries. They instituted and vigorously enforced a strict gun control regimen. They encouraged pornography, illegitimacy, and abortion, and they denounced Christians as right-wing fanatics. Yet a popular myth persists that the Nazis themselves were right-wing extremists. This insidious lie biases the entire political landscape, and the time has come to expose it.

Sounds just about like the editors and reporters from The Wash. Post and the NY Times.

Well at least he's not calling the Jews Nazis which is the vile and twisted logic we see in Europe these days. Yep, in Europe Jews are the new Nazis. Nice way for Europe to avoid their guilt for the Holocaust.

"You can apply irony to something like that."

“Irony” is the word fake intellectuals love to throw into their conversation when they want to appear smarter than they are.

As in this case, they almost never apply the word to a point which actually illustrates irony.

I could point out that the attempt to illustrate intelligence by misusing the word "irony" is an actual example of irony, but I don't want to appear smarter than I am, even though I am smarter than I am.
