Page 1 above the fold in yesterday's New York Times featured a photo (below) by our new acquaintance Adnan Hajj.
I suspect that not all is as it appears to be in the photo, and somehow doubt that Times readers will ever learn why that might be the case.
The Reuters caption reads: "A severely wounded Lebanese civilian is carried away on a stretcher at Maameltain bridge, after it was targeted by Israeli air strikes, in the north of Beirut August 4, 2006. (Adnan Hajj/Reuters)" (Thanks to reader David Butz.)
If you look closely, you'll see the lead's make up is smudged. Also , the make up technician used "halloween pallor of death green" on his hands when the script called for "bomb blast dust gray". The property department provided a Mogen David Adom stretcher instead of the Red Crescent one called for in the script. The continuity editor must be asleep because one of the litter bearers and victim changed places in the same scene. Also the key grip left an open mike on in the properties department.
Is that a steak on top of his helmet?
No, its the pancake that was on the bunny's head. Sorry, I don't have that picture - someone else will have to post it.
It gets around alot, like the tourist guy and the looter guy.
The IDF released a videotape Thursday showing the apparently staged funeral of a Palestinian in the Jenin refugee camp. The footage was filmed by an IDF unmanned reconnaissance plane on April 28.
IDF field intelligence chief, Colonel Miri Eisen, told reporters that the film shows someone who is supposedly dead - and on the way to burial - falling off his stretcher and then running away.
According to Eisen, the funeral was "one big show," whose aim was to dupe the United Nations fact-finding team ...

Another (semi)Pro photoshopper here.... Sorry, I don't see any photoshop fakery in this one.
Staged? From a different area than claimed? I wouldn't be a bit surprised, but it is not a composite or cloned image, nor do I see the stretcher as anything but a stretcher.
The white guy with the beard in the background is Greg Packer.
yeah, but then again a wheeled litter is not migrational...
teeman
Powder..Patch..Ball FIRE!
Notice child has club foot with three toes? Disabled children put in basement to die maybe? (Not to discount a small ones death)
Fake, photoshopped or not, so long as Reuters, AP, and the rest of the lamestream media keep using arab stringers we will only be seeing the islamo side of middle eastern affairs.
The image and the story context imply that he is at the scene of an Israeli airstrike or explosion caused by IDF artillery.
The same guy appears in a photo taken by none other than ex-Reuters camera man Adnan Hajj.
They’re burning tires. It’s a garbage dump.
Dead man walking.

** Dead Men Walking! **
From the New York Times photo essay by Tyler Hicks on July 27, 2006 comes this unbelievable fraud!
the "Dead Guy w/ no dust" photo this morning thinking that this guy looked pretty clean for a bomb attack!
DIV> "Dead Guy w/ no dust" shows up with hat in photo no. 2 (right side) pointing out something to the photographer.
You see him again scrambling over debris in photo no. 3 and no. 4.
Finally, you see him laying dead on top of the debris with a heartbreaking caption.
Image 6- The "dead" man is sweating and holding his hat by his side!
That's a good one!
Is there a thread on this series of photos?
Do you mean this ?

The latter. Thanks!
This is getting crazy! It's impossible to keep up unless I'm FReeping every minute of the day!
This is alot of fun.
Too bad work and family cuts into the day.
note hat under his elbow, no dust, sweating...fake but accurate...not photoshopped, but "staged."
