I've comt to think it would be best if Lieberman lost the priamry and won the general election.

If he loses the primary convincingly, it's an opportunity for the right to show just how off the rail the Dems are. I'm not certain where the 'poor Joe' talk comes from around here. It wasn't long ago when we thought he may be the VP and were horrified. Cheney said in the debates he would try assisting Joe in his endeavors to join the private sector. Little did Leiberman realize, his own would show him the door years later.

Worth repeating:

As I say, we have been here before. Ned Lamont is Karl Rove's dream come true. If he, and others of his stripe, carry the day, the Democratic party will lose the future, and deservedly.

"Ned? Ned Lamont? Is that you?"

With apologies to Bill Murray for using his line from "Groundhog Day".

Agreed. This primary race is a circular firing squad and it looks like it will continue into November.

This "Hit" on Lieberman is insurance for Hillary that he won't be around for 2008.

Ditto! What better way to represent the lunacy of the Left than to get Lamont elected. I hope it pushes the republicans back to the Right.

I thought that Lieberman was one of the more gentle democrats.

He's one of the best of a really bad lot. As someone has already pointed out,he supports the President on the war, other than that - he's still a democrat.

His dim opponent is a barking moonbat.

But Suz, Hannity likes him and wishes he was a Republican. Just what the party needs....another Rino, except this one sports an ACU rating of ZERO. That's lower than Teddy Bear's.

If "LIEberman" loses it all, it means that the relative of the Stalinist sympathizer, Corliss Lamont will win it all. Lamont will oppose the War on Islamofascism, and will be a steady farleft vote against Strategic Defense Initiative and increased defense spending. No, Lamont winning it all would be another slap in the face of our heros at the front. It would be a victory for binladen and the shia clerical fanatics in Iran. It would send a dangerous message to our enemies and friends, that once again Uncle Sam is going to turn tail and run.

I think the best option would be for the GOP candidate to win, but given the dirt thrown at him that's a fat chance. He's likely to place a distant third in a three way race. So our only hope to stop Lamont(a Lowell Weicker without the common sense)is for Joe, the stalwart supporter of the War against Islamic fascism, to win in the three-way race. If the President decides to replace the Secretary of Defense at some point, perhaps he will ask Joe to serve in that position. If that happens, the Republican Governor of Connecticutt will make the appointment.

Wow, this is a devastating look at Lamont. And Peretz is known to be quite a liberal, isn't he? Saddens me all the more to think this "appeaser" could be my senator. Yet his ads feature a child's voice saying he looks forward to a better future once there is change in Washington. The future will be very bleak indeed if Ned and his ilk get their way.

Did you actually read the entire article? Lieberman is a liberal but Lamont is an ultra-liberal in addition to being an empty suit. Unless you know of a way a conservative Republican could be elected in Conn. (and if you do, please call Carl Rove) Lieberman should be the choice of any sane voter.

Have you seen any poll results with the three candidates? I have heard that Joe has a nice cushion running as an Independent. If Joe wins, wouldn't it be nice if he lined up with the GOPin the US Senate. After the way he's been treated by the farleft of the RAT party, who could really blame him.

There's nothing gentle about ANY Democrat nowadays except MAYBE Ben Nelson of Nebraska...he's actually smarter than the Republican sad sack, Chuckie Hagel.
