LOL! Last time I talked to him he was pumping gas. The man never sits down, it seems! :D

I am sure that it will all come together, just like it did in May. Just wish it wasn't so long to wait. I miss everyone!

We drove through rain on the way home...man, how I wish I'd had a camera in the car. It was a sunset thunderstorm, and was just gorgeous! When we got home, the pavement here was wet - so yes, it rained at the house, too!

Now, to some folks, that may not seem like such a big deal. We live about 30 miles from the Interstate, and in many places rainstorms cover three or four times that much area.

Here in Arizona, the monsoons are very localized. In fact, it's not that unusual for the rains to miss most everyone. For example, last weekend, nearly 20 inches fell on the southern end of the Huachuca Mts. and only 2 inches fell on the northern end - a distance of only about 12 miles.

Working is a good thing, no matter where it is. He'll do fine. Just takes time sometimes to figure out what they want to do. If he is good with computers, that seems to be the place to be any more.

Do you work 7 days a week? That hardly seems fair! I have never seen you have a day off!

Did anyone ever send you to look for a 'dough repair kit' when you started working in pizza joints?

Standard hazing tactic.

Yeah...wish we could afford to get together every 6 months or so instead of once a year. But guess we are lucky to have what we do. I feel fortunate to have gotten to meet all the wonderful people I did...and make all of you such good friends! (((hugs)))

I saw some pretty neat weather in nebraska
One night we were camped on the Niobrara River.
The night sky was amazing..
A lightening storm om one side of the sky..
and the stars and moon in the other..
So I think I get what you mean!

I thought Pizza Hut pizza was as close to perfect pizza when they first opened back in the 70s. I remember the sauce having an exquisite taste that few pizza restaurants could match. However, I do not know when it happened, but the sauce changed and it no longer was the pizza it started out to be. Perhaps that "secret" spice packet was changed or eliminated altogether.

Do you have any insights into what happened to the zest in the Pizza Hut taste.

Shouldn't the title be "What's the Best Pizza in New York?" since no other state comes close?

New York and Chicago are running neck and neck for best pizza, but there's still a lot o' places holding their own.

Ever had pizza from Fra Diavolo in Berlin?

No, I never have. Haven't been in Berlin since 1970. I have had a lot of pizza in Germany though. It was all pretty disgusting (made mostly by Turks, lol). But that's ancient history. If I ever get back there, I'll check it out!

"Is the Sicilian sauce a sweet one? I've always wondered that!!"

Its not overly sweet, about med., but lots of spices, and they age it in the cooler for a week for the spices to permeate the sauce.

They also age the dough for at least 3 days before use.
