Venezuelan government sources yesterday said Mr Chavez does not have a trip to Cuba on his agenda despite media rumours that he was planning to visit Castro, a close Chavez ally whose country has benefited from preferential sales of Venezuelan crude oil. My guess is that Chavez will try to take out Raul teh moment Fidel is dead.

"No longer bed-ridden" could just as easily mean dead. And good riddance.

Reminds me of the time I saw Tony Bennett in Atlantic City several years back, and he got a cheap pop from the crowd saying how he has just spoken to Sinatra a short while back and that he is doing fine and sounded strong, and to not beleive the press regarding his declining health.
Frank passed away a few weeks later.

Standing beside the bed with IV drip stand. Next he will take short walks pushing his IV drip stand as he goes.

Hugo Chavez today related information
concerning Fidel Castro.
"His doctor, DR. Feliz Ortega-Ortiz-Ortega from the esteemed Brigade 33 Rural Health Cooperative and Collective Farm, has him up and moving around now.
Castro played some golf, only nine holes though and shot a 18, not bad for an aging totalitarian dictator eh.
Afterwards, Fidel had a light repast, a Cohiba and is now
resting peacefully."

And after he's taking his short walks with his IV drip stand, he'll get back to the tripping with the IV drip stand.

They'll scold him if he goes a little heavy on the demand feeder, and he will have to stay in hospital until he doesn't need it any more.
