I'll toast with a double-double animal style with cheese, no fries and a chocolate shake.

In-N-Out is just about the only thing I miss about SoCal after moving away 11 years ago.
FYI the "secret menu" can be found here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In-N-Out_Burger
One of the worst burger joints I've ever been in.
As I just posted on Chowhound ... this will turn into a court battle with the heirs. One heir wants to turn In-N-Out into a super chain.
But it is fine like it is. In-N-Out is terrific without having to cut corners.
Real tomato, real lettuce, real potatoes and even McDonald's and Burger King are better? Somehow I don't believe you.
You may not think it's the best ... but is far, far from the worst.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing. Why do reporters ask such stupid questions? Sometimes, when you're 80 or 90, you just die. : )
It's the best part of a business trip from Ohio to L.A.--
Any "Belly Bomber" fans here?
Hmmm, I've never cared for the fries, didn't think to order them more well done, as mentioned in the link you posted. Interesting....
Proof that fast food causes you to die by age 86.
I so wish they would come to the East Coast, but the family doesn't need the money so it will never happen.
Thanks so much, idfka!!!
Really there were times in the 80's that my wife and I decided to drive from San Diego (no In & Out ) to Ventura county to visit her parents just a have a In & Out in San Fernando.
Holy Frijoles!!!
That was where I saw "2001" and "Trog!"
(OK, I am dating myself). I think has been a spanish-language theater for 25 years or so.
From the Wikipedia article: "One reason In-N-Out has not expanded far outside Southern California is that their food is never frozen. The delivery trucks are only able to travel a limited distance from In-N-Out's sole meat-packing plant, where the company does its own boning, grinding, and pattying of fresh beef chuckand due to logistical and cost issues, it is not likely they will open other meat packing plants. This commitment to "freshness" has limited the restaurant's expansion to Northern California, Nevada, and Arizona."
The closest In-N-Out to us here by Fort Worth is in Mesa, Arizona -- over twelve hundred miles away.
< deep, wracking sobs >
It's the only thing I miss about L.A.
LOLOL!!!
...but it's funny how 86 doesn't sound so old any more....
