They should read history. The Kamikazis did not turn the tide of WW2.
My husband, son, and I were just talking about this same issue last night.
Suicide bombers in America is not a strategy that will "work" for the terrorists. They may be able to kill people, hurt the economy, and instill fear, but it will harden the resolve and expediency of the WOT.
I truly believe that the terrorists "know" this and that is why we haven't seen any of these kind of attacks up until now. They've all been aimed at EU countries, Indonesia, etc.
A knowledgeable friend tells me that the Kamikaze tactic was, in large part, a response to the fact that Japanese pilots by that point in the war were flying what amounted to suicide missions anyhow
Come to think of it, that's not unlike modern Arab soldiery in any situation where they actually stand up to fight the U.S. or Israel.
True but they did grievous damage. Hundreds of US ships were sunk along with the crews.
They didn't use the tactic until they had lost.
But I'll bet that had they used kamikazis near the beginning of the war it would have at the very least prolonged the war .
In the beginning of the war we only had 4 carriers in the Pacific.
Kamikazis could have taken them out and left us with a very weak response.
By the time kamikazis were employed we had around 14 + carriers.
I think suicide bombers here would be very effective in ruining our economy.
We need to take all measures to prevent an outbreak of them, including preemptive arrests and deporting.
But the authorities will do absolutely nothing, IMO.
My advice would be ..
Let the police handle traffic and the citizens handle the Muslims.
