Congratulations on passing your driving test. I guess you will need to drive in Iowa. Not much public transportation there.
The town has a very decent bus system for the midwest, but I don't think there's service on Sundays and after the 'rush minutes' in the evening. Also, there don't seem to be a lot of ways to get from town to town. So, it will be useful to have a car, even if I take the bus to campus.
I am looking forward to driving out to the Amana Colonies, which are nearby, and maybe, if I get brave, a little further away to the Laura Ingalls Wilder house and the Field of Dreams farm.
