I guess Lebanon found the text excessively opaque too. Cheers.

Meaning Hizbollah has rejected the proposed UNSC resolution.

I bet it's the "Lebanese prisoners". The draft says the Israeli soldiers need to be released, but not the Lebanese prisoners Nasrallah said he captured the Israelis to trade.
One of the lebonese prisoners killed a child in Israel.

Did the Lebanese government officials even READ the draft?

I couldn't....

I agree - the Lebs are puppets here. They are afraid of the Hezzies and Iran. Of course they have to disagree. Well I see it as an excellent opportunity for the Israelis to keep the momentum up, keep taking out Hezzies and occupying key positions. Go Israel.

Oh excuse me... did you hear that? "they have demands"... they're walking around with their britches fallin' off and hiding behind women and children, but they have "demands"... oh pardon me your majesty dear lebanese raghead, how about you take your demands and shove them up Nasrallah's hairy rear end. When you learn to stand up to thugs and can tell right from wrong we might listen to those demands, meanwhile shut the hell up.
haha... they have demands... maybe thats arabic for "shameless desert raghead syndrome"?

I hope they keep talking about this for, oh say, another month or so.

I want Hizbolla smashed into tiny little pieces which even God himself couldn't put back together.

I want Boy Assad to do something (else) stupid so the Israelis can give him a 2,000 lb. laser guided CARE package right in his living room.

The only downside I see to Assad being scattered to the four winds is that the USMC wouldn't be able to hang his head on a pike outside Camp LeJeune and let new Marine Recruits use the corpse for bayonet training.

But I suppose one can't have everything.

L

P.S. Is it wrong that your tagline sends a tiny shiver up and down my spine?

I have a feeling that if the Lebanese really get on board we could see some collective good out of this...not near term but long term....I trust Bolton to look out for our needs though the decisions are really coming from the higher ups....

I thought Israel was at war with Hezbolla not Lebanon. Of course, hezbolla has no standing as they are a terrorist organization so why is Lebanon doing their bidding for them?

Rubbleland better wise up quickly.

I guess I don't see the big picture?? A Franco-American solution? I guess that means America will negotiate with Israel, our strong ally. So does it follow suit, that France will negotiate with Lebanon..or Hezbolla?? And if so, why?

The Lebanese government isn't in charge of country. Hezbollah has taken it over, They're not directly involved in the fighting over there. Like I said this morning, this talk of a ceasefire is an exercise in diplomatic make-believe.

(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
